Djhek'Nlarr

Djhek'Nlarr

Female Githyanki Planar
7th/4th Level Fighter/Mage
Free League (Factotum)
Lawful Evil

Str:  13   Int:  13   HP:    36
Dex:  15   Wis:  11   AC:     5
Con:  10   Cha:   7   THAC0: 14

Equipment:
Bracers of Defense (AC: 6)
Long Sword +2 (Sigil)

Special:

Standard Mage abilities.

Githyanki Ability: Can Plane Shift at will
Psychic Trail: While she can't Plane Shift into or out of a Maze (or Sigil) she can follow the psychic trail of a victim who's been placed into one, and follow her own trail back out again.

Faction Abilities: +2 Save against all forms of Charm. Save normally against Charms that don't normally allow a Save.
Gets 20% Discount at the Great Bazaar.
Connected to Indep Underground

Spells/Level: 3/2

1st - Charm Person, Comprehend Languages, Shocking Grasp
2nd - Spectral Hand, Warp Sense

Location: Selling maps in various pub's in the Clerk's Ward, or setting up sods for the Lady anywhere in Sigil.

Source: 2nd Edition AD&D 2624, Uncaged: Faces of Sigil, pages 24-25

Ed's Notes: Possibly a very useful basher, possibly the worse person in the world. Her game is to fill people's heads with talk of rebellion (against the Lady,) gets them in trouble with the Lady (whil;e she steps back, and stays out of it,) and then follows the poor sod into one of the Mazes the Lady has thrown him into. She then carefully maps it, and then sells the Maps in Sigil or to the victims at a hefty price. Much like the Grixitt, this broad's got BALLS because the Lady would definitely NOT approve of her actions. (OTOH.. . maybe she does?!) She could be a useful, extra resource for the PC's in the "The Mazes" adventure from Well of Worlds.

Male Human Planar
7th Level Wizard
Free League (Factotum)
Lawful Good

Source: 2nd Edition AD&D 2609, In the Cage: A Guide to Sigil, page 95

Ed's Notes: He's not a bad man, Ensin. He just... cuts corners. He's a bit... lazy, careless. Honest, maybe. But... careless. This became my player's favorite shop, and his "Potion of Limited Healing," which heals d6 (as opposed to 2d4+2 for a true Potion of Healing) yet costs about 90% less (30 gp, as opposed to >200 gp.) They were buying IN BULK. It became game-breaking. It was ridiculous. Two things... Assume he only has d4(?) d10(?) some limited quantity on any given day or week. Yes, he can sell out. (Because they kept finding ways around his 1 dose limite!) OR... If you want to really
have some fun... Make his potions Quirky as hell! See the table on page 885 of the Encyclopedia Magica Vol 3. Have the players roll %ile... (And if you really want to drive the point home, DOUBLE the roll. Yeah, that'll do it. Automatic 3 quirks from anything over 100? Lol. Anyway...) Follow the table to give them quirky effects, maybe disuade them from stocking up here. This was meant to be humorous, I think? But it's really too good a deal to pass up!

BTW...

Potion of Small Animal Control: Control d4 nonmagical animals no larger than a rat, with an intelligence no greater than 1.

Potion of Limited Invisibility: Only works at night or in a dark room, and for d3 turns

Potion of Limited Healing: Heal's d6

Potion of Blue Hue: Turns you blue.

Potion of Drowning Resistance: Breath underwater for d10 rounds.

Autochon the Bellringer

Autochon the Bellringer

Male Human Planar
12th Level Fighter
Free League (Factotum)
Neutral Evil

Str:  16   Int:  14   HP:    88
Dex:  10   Wis:  10   AC:     1
Con:  16   Cha:   8   THAC0: 9(6)

Equipment:
Gray Water Full Plate Mail**
Scimitar of Speed +3 (d8/d8)*

Special:
Standard Fighter abilities.
*Scimitar of Speed + his level grant 5/2 attacks per round (2 in the first, three in the second.) It always strikes first and his Strength grants further +1 to damage.

**When not in his armor, he is tormented by the curse of the Bells of Bapohmet. On the first day, he suffers a -4 to all attack rolls. This increases to -8 on day two and -11 from day three onward. When IN his armor, he can never surprise an opponents, due to the constant jingling. Due to its immense  weight, he suffers a cumulative -1 penalty to his THAC0 every round after the 5th.
If attacked in public, d4 of his couriers (2nd Level Thieves, armed with Daggers) will come to his aid.

Faction Abilities: Gains +2 Save vs attempts to control his mind. (And saved normally against Charms that don't normally allow a Save.) Gets 20% discount at The Great Bazaar. Is connected to the Indep underground network of information.

Location: Palace of the Jester, in the Lady's Ward

Source: 2nd Edition AD&D 2624, Uncaged: Faces of Sigil, pages 10-11

Ed's Notes: Arguably the best courier in the city himself, and from the Palace of the Jester, he meets with clients and manages pretty much all of the other couriers in the city, matching them up with prospective clients. The Bells of Baphomet curse causes him to hear the bells from that Abyssal temple CONSTANTLY, 24/7. Which was driving his insane. His armor, a "gift" from Shemeshka, mutes this, almost completely when his helmet's visor is down.

Red Lion Inn

The Red Lion Inn

Location: Market Ward, near the Great Bazaar

Purpose: An Inn that serves as one of the primary safe-houses for the Free League

Male Centaur Planar
10th Level Ranger
Free League (factotum)
Chaotic Neutral

Kirrik the Ear

?th Level (Gossiper?) (Bard?)
Free League (Factotum)

Unknown Alignment

Source: 2nd Edition AD&D 2611, The Factol's Manifesto, pages 84-85

Ed's Notes: A popluar Inn, Tavern and Safe House for Free Leaguers. One might encounter Bria Tomay here, either performing or meeting with Lethea and Lesander, regarding Free League business. The two Wemics aren't official bouncers, but are protective of their "factol" and will keep order if anyone comes in intent on making trouble (Hardheads, Red Death) for free-minded folk.

The Great Bazaar

The Great Bazaar

Location: Market Ward

Purpose: An inter-planar market where you can find anything and everything, for the right price.

Sister Zil
(Potter)
Female TIefling Planar
4th Level Priest
Free League (factotum)

Neutral Evil

Source: 2nd Edition AD&D 2611, The Factol's Manifesto, pages 71-73

Ed's Notes: So... For the moment, I don't have any addition information about the Great Bazaar. Lol. GM's can fill it in randomly with any manner of merchants and laborers. It's possible to run into Bria Tomay, Lethea or Lesander, but you're more likely to find them in the Red Lion Inn, just outside of the Bazaar. Austick is a potter who frequently plies his wares in the Great Bazaar, and occasionally passes on the chant he hears. Sister Zil preaches to he beggars around the Bazaar, while plotting to use the Red Lion Inn's Outland portals to bring in more Free League allies.

Is rarely surprised and shared a form of Telepathy with his sister, Lethea.

Source: 2nd Edition AD&D 2611, The Factol's Manifesto, page 83

Ed's Notes: He and his sister would be useful allies to have show up if some Idep PC's were ever in a close scrap. They are "leaders" of a sort with the Free League, but defer to Bria Tomay.

Lethea

Bria Tomay

Bria Tomay

Chaotic Neutral

Str:  11   Int:  15   HP:    57

Con:   9   Cha:  17   THAC0: 12

Equipment:
Padded Armor
Zither (family heirloom)
Bag of Tricks
Quarterstaff +2 (Sigil)
Ring of Protection +2 (Sigil)

Spells/Level: 3/3/3/3/1

Special:
Standard Bard abilities.
Faction Abilities: +2 Save against all forms of Charm. Save normally against Charms that don't normally allow a Save.

Source: 2nd Edition AD&D 2611, The Factol's Manifesto, page 82

Ed's Notes: This is an intriguing character that I never got to DO a whole lot with. If the party has a Bard, maybe they can hook up and jam, or she could help them make connections and get gigs, something like that. Since the Free League doesn't really behave like other factions, there never seemed to be a lot of plot hooks that would immediately involved their "leader." At least in my campaign. But as most PC seems to end up here by default, that's a shame. They really should get to know her.
